Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (16 oz) frozen pretzel bites
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon coarse sea salt
  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 6 oz sliced prosciutto
  • 6 oz sliced pepperoni
  • 4 oz sharp cheddar cheese, cut into cubes
  • 4 oz gouda cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cup green olives, pitted
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange the frozen pretzel bites in a single layer on one side of the baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine shredded cheddar, softened cream cheese, and milk. Stir constantly with a whisk until melted and smooth, about 3-4 minutes. Add Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper (if using). Whisk until smooth.
  4. Arrange prosciutto, pepperoni, cheese cubes, gouda slices, cherry tomatoes, and olives around the pretzel bites on the baking sheet. Place a small oven-safe bowl of cheese sauce on the board. Drizzle honey over the gouda and prosciutto.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until pretzel bites are golden and cheeses are softening. The cheese sauce will bubble slightly around the edges.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 2 minutes. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs and drizzle with additional honey if desired. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Shred your own cheddar for the smoothest cheese sauce. For best results, take cream cheese out of the fridge 30 minutes before starting. Watch the oven closely as cooking times vary. Leftover cheese sauce can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
