A rich, spicy, and tangy buffalo ranch chicken dip perfect for game day or casual gatherings. Ready in under 30 minutes, this creamy dip is a crowd-pleaser with simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (about 300g), rotisserie chicken recommended
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (120ml)
  • 1/3 cup buffalo sauce (80ml)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (100g)
  • 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). If short on time, microwave can be used later.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, and buffalo sauce. Mix until smooth, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add shredded chicken, shredded cheddar, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Fold gently but thoroughly.
  4. Transfer mixture to an 8×8-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges bubble and top is light golden brown.
  6. Optional: Sprinkle extra cheddar cheese over the dip during the last 5 minutes of baking for a melty top.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or soft pretzels.

Notes

Softening cream cheese is important for smooth mixing. Adjust buffalo sauce to taste to control spiciness. For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for cream cheese or blue cheese dressing for ranch. Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking. Microwave option available for quicker preparation.
