A spooky and delicious 10-minute Halloween treat featuring long pretzel rods dipped in white chocolate, topped with almond nails and licorice veins for a creepy finger look.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12–15 long, thin pretzel rods
  • 1.5 cups high-quality white chocolate chips
  • Whole raw almonds (for nails)
  • Red licorice rope or thin strips (for veins)
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for thinner chocolate)
  • Red or green food coloring gel (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper. Cut red licorice into thin, 1-2 inch strips.
  2. Place white chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir, then microwave in 15-second intervals until smooth and glossy. Do not overheat.
  3. Stick one end of a pretzel rod into a toothpick. Dip about 3/4 of the length into the chocolate, lift out, and let excess drip off.
  4. Place the coated pretzel on the parchment paper. Repeat with remaining pretzels.
  5. While chocolate is wet, press an almond onto the tip of each pretzel to create a fingernail.
  6. Press thin strips of red licorice onto the side of the chocolate to resemble veins. Work quickly while chocolate is tacky.
  7. Let treats set at room temperature for 15-20 minutes until hard, or refrigerate for 10 minutes.

Notes

Leave about an inch of the pretzel rod uncoated to use as a handle. Ensure chocolate is not overheated to prevent seizing. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place to maintain crunch.
