Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1 can (14 ounces) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • For serving: tortilla chips, pita chips, crostini, or fresh vegetables

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Squeeze the spinach dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the squeezed spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine. Fold in 3/4 cup of the shredded mozzarella and all of the Parmesan cheese. Reserve the remaining 1/4 cup of mozzarella for the spiderweb design.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into a 9-inch pie dish or small baking dish. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, until hot and bubbly around the edges.
  7. While the dip is baking, melt the reserved 1/4 cup of mozzarella in a small bowl in the microwave in 15-second intervals until stretchy.
  8. Spoon the melted mozzarella into a piping bag or small zip-top bag. Snip off a tiny corner if using a zip-top bag.
  9. Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for about 2 minutes.
  10. Pipe a small circle in the center of the dip, then pipe concentric circles around it, spacing them about an inch apart. Use a toothpick or knife to drag lines from the center outward through all the circles to create a spiderweb pattern. Wipe the toothpick clean between each line.
  11. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, pita chips, crostini, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Squeeze spinach very dry to avoid watery dip. Use room temperature cream cheese for smooth blending. The spiderweb design is best piped onto warm dip. Leftovers keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days; reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes. Do not freeze.
