charcuterie board for two - featured image

A simple, elegant charcuterie board designed for two people that requires no cooking and can be assembled in under 15 minutes. It focuses on balancing flavors and textures for a stress-free date night or small gathering.

Ingredients

  • Prosciutto di Parma
  • Salami (e.g., pepperoni or Genoa)
  • Sharp cheddar cheese
  • Goat cheese (firm, small-curd)
  • Manchego or aged gouda
  • Water crackers
  • Almond flour crackers
  • Baguette (sliced and toasted)
  • Grapes
  • Fresh figs or fig jam
  • Apple slices
  • Marcona almonds
  • Cornichons or pickled onions
  • Honey or olive oil with herbs

Instructions

  1. Prepare a clean, dry board or platter.
  2. Arrange small bowls on the board containing olives, nuts, jams, and pickles to anchor the layout.
  3. Cut hard cheeses into cubes or slices and place soft cheeses whole or scooped into bowls on the board.
  4. Fold prosciutto into rosettes or fold slices in half to add volume, then arrange around the cheeses.
  5. Place crackers in a pile or fan them out, and arrange sliced baguette near the cheeses.
  6. Fill empty spaces with grapes, apple slices, and figs to add color and contrast.
  7. Drizzle honey or olive oil over some cheeses and add fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for garnish.

Notes

Let cheese come to room temperature 30 minutes before serving for best flavor. Leave negative space on the board for an elegant look. Serve immediately to keep crackers crisp. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
