A quick and simple snack board using five wholesome ingredients, perfect for busy afternoons and picky eaters. Ready in under 10 minutes, this snack board combines creamy, crunchy, and fresh elements to delight kids.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ounces mild cheddar or mozzarella cheese, sliced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup fresh fruit (apple slices or seedless grapes)
  • 1520 whole-grain crackers (such as Triscuit or Mary’s Gone Crackers)
  • 2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter or almond butter
  • 1 cup baby carrots or cucumber slices (or cherry tomatoes in summer)

Instructions

  1. Slice about 4 ounces (115 grams) of cheese into bite-sized cubes or thin rectangles.
  2. Wash and slice about 1 cup (150 grams) of fruit such as apple slices or grapes; optionally add a squeeze of lemon juice to apples to prevent browning.
  3. Arrange 15-20 crackers spaced out on the serving board.
  4. Scoop about 2 tablespoons (30 grams) of nut butter into a small bowl or ramekin; stir if thick and place a spreader or spoon beside it.
  5. Wash and slice about 1 cup (100 grams) of baby carrots or cucumber sticks; if using cherry tomatoes, wash and scatter them on the board.
  6. Assemble all components on a serving platter or board with space between items for visual appeal.

Notes

Prepare fruit and veggies just before serving to keep fresh and avoid sogginess. Add lemon juice to apple slices to prevent browning. Nut butter can be swapped for sunflower seed butter or hummus for nut allergies. Presentation matters—space items out and add color variety to entice kids. Store components separately if preparing ahead and assemble just before serving.
