Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace and ingredients by laying out bread slices on a clean surface. Ensure peanut butter and jelly are at room temperature for easy spreading.
  2. Spread about 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of peanut butter evenly on one slice of bread, leaving a ¼ inch (6 mm) border around the edges.
  3. Spread 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of jelly on the matching slice, also leaving the border.
  4. Place the jelly slice on top of the peanut butter slice, matching edges, and press gently to avoid oozing.
  5. Using a sandwich cutter (3-4 inches diameter), press firmly down through the sandwich to cut out a neat circle. Remove excess bread.
  6. Press the sandwich edges firmly with a rolling pin or flat glass to seal the peanut butter and jelly inside. Pinch any gaps closed with fingers.
  7. Place sandwiches on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they don’t touch. Freeze for 1 hour or until firm.
