These quick and easy turkey cheddar pinwheel wraps are perfect for lunchboxes, picnics, or a simple snack. Made with a creamy spread, deli turkey, and sharp cheddar, they come together in under 15 minutes and are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper
  • 2 large (10-inch) flour tortillas
  • 68 slices of deli turkey breast (about 1/4 lb)
  • 4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves, stems removed (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the cream cheese spread: In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix with a rubber spatula until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the tortillas: Lay one tortilla flat on a cutting board. Using a rubber spatula, spread a thin, even layer of the cream cheese mixture over the entire surface of the tortilla, going all the way to the edges.
  3. Layer the fillings: Place 3-4 slices of turkey on top of the cream cheese, overlapping slightly. Lay 2 slices of cheddar cheese on top of the turkey. If using spinach, scatter a handful of leaves over the cheese.
  4. Roll it tight: Starting from one edge, roll the tortilla tightly, using your fingers to keep the fillings snug. Place seam-side down.
  5. Wrap and chill: Wrap the rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap, twisting the ends like a candy wrapper. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours or overnight).
  6. Slice the pinwheels: After chilling, unwrap the roll and place on a cutting board. Using a sharp serrated knife, slice into 1-inch thick pinwheels using a gentle sawing motion. Wipe the knife clean between cuts.
  7. Serve or pack: Arrange pinwheels on a plate or pack directly into a lunchbox. Optionally secure each with a toothpick.

Notes

For best results, use block-style cream cheese (not whipped). If tortillas are dry, wrap in a damp paper towel and microwave for 15-20 seconds. Do not overfill. Chilling is essential for clean slices. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Freeze uncut rolls for up to 1 month.
