A quick and easy recipe for grilled pineapple rings glazed with a warm cinnamon honey butter, perfect for summer gatherings or a light dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 medium fresh pineapple, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch thick rings
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: pinch of cayenne or ground ginger for heat

Instructions

  1. Peel the pineapple and slice it into about 1/2-inch thick rings. Remove the core from each ring.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, honey, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mix until creamy and well blended. Add cayenne or ground ginger if desired.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F). If using charcoal, let the coals get hot and ashy.
  4. Place pineapple slices directly on the grill grates. Grill for about 3-4 minutes per side until grill marks appear and pineapple caramelizes. Use tongs to flip carefully.
  5. Remove pineapple from the grill and immediately spread a generous amount of the cinnamon honey butter on each ring while still warm.
  6. Arrange glazed pineapple rings on a serving plate. Optionally, sprinkle extra cinnamon or garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

Keep grill at medium-high heat to avoid burning the pineapple. Lightly oil grill grates to prevent sticking. Apply cinnamon honey butter immediately after grilling for best glaze effect. For vegan version, substitute butter with plant-based alternative and honey with maple syrup or agave nectar.
