A refreshing and spicy mango jalapeño margarita pitcher that balances sweetness, spice, and tanginess, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (480 ml) Tequila Blanco (100% agave)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Fresh Mango Puree (from ripe mangoes or frozen mango chunks)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Fresh Lime Juice (about 68 limes)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) Agave Syrup (or honey/simple syrup)
  • 1 medium Jalapeño, sliced thin (seeds removed for milder heat or left in for extra kick)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) Orange Liqueur (Triple sec or Cointreau)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Club Soda or Sparkling Water (optional)
  • Coarse Salt or Tajín (for rimming glasses)
  • Lime Wedges and Mango Slices (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mango Puree (5-7 minutes): Peel and chop 2 ripe mangoes. Blend until smooth, adding a splash of water if needed. Set aside.
  2. Muddle the Jalapeño (2 minutes): Slice 1 medium jalapeño thinly. Remove seeds if desired. Gently muddle the slices in the bottom of a large pitcher using a muddler or back of a wooden spoon to release oils without pulverizing.
  3. Add Liquids (3 minutes): Pour 2 cups tequila blanco, 1/2 cup orange liqueur, 1 cup fresh lime juice, and 1/4 cup agave syrup into the pitcher with the muddled jalapeño. Stir well.
  4. Incorporate Mango Puree (2 minutes): Add the mango puree to the pitcher and stir gently until fully combined.
  5. Refrigerate and Infuse (at least 30 minutes): Cover and refrigerate to allow jalapeño flavor to infuse without overpowering. Taste after 20 minutes to adjust infusion time.
  6. Add Sparkle (Optional, 1 minute): Just before serving, stir in 1 cup club soda or sparkling water for a lighter, fizzy drink.
  7. Prepare Glasses and Serve: Rim glasses with coarse salt or Tajín by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping into salt or Tajín. Fill glasses with ice, pour margarita, and garnish with lime wedges and mango slices.

Notes

Adjust jalapeño quantity and infusion time to control heat level. For smoother margarita, strain before serving. Use fresh ingredients for best flavor. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to meld flavors. Add sparkling water just before serving if desired. Store leftovers covered in refrigerator up to 24 hours; do not freeze.
