A quick, 5-minute Halloween snack featuring banana slices topped with cream cheese and grape eyes. This healthy, gluten-free treat is perfect for parties and kids.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4–6 medium bananas (ripe but firm)
  • 1–1.5 lbs seedless red grapes
  • 1 block (8 oz) plain cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: Mini dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, heavy whipping cream, and vanilla extract. Mash and mix with a fork until smooth and spreadable.
  2. Peel bananas and slice into thick rounds (about 1.5 inches). Place slices on a serving platter.
  3. Spoon the cream cheese mixture onto each banana slice, spreading it into a dome shape slightly higher than the slice.
  4. Cut red grapes in half and press one half into the cream cheese dome on each banana to create eyes.
  5. Optionally, place the tray in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to set the filling.
  6. If using chocolate chips, press them into the cream cheese below the eyes after chilling to create a mouth.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. Use bananas that are yellow with few brown spots to prevent mushiness. Wash and dry grapes thoroughly to prevent sliding. Assemble ghosts close to serving time to prevent bananas from browning. For dairy-free, swap cream cheese for coconut-based yogurt.
