A stunning and delicious edible bouquet made with fresh strawberries dipped in rich chocolate, perfect for gifting on special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 medium to large fresh strawberries, washed and thoroughly dried
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips or bars, chopped
  • 4 ounces white chocolate (optional, for drizzling or dipping contrast)
  • Approximately 20 wooden skewers or bamboo sticks, sturdy and food-safe
  • Optional decorative elements: crushed pistachios, shredded coconut, edible gold dust, or sprinkles
  • Floral foam or Styrofoam block to anchor the bouquet
  • Ribbon or cellophane wrap for finishing touches and presentation

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly to ensure chocolate sticks well (about 10 minutes).
  2. Prepare your workspace by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper and setting up floral foam inside your vase or container. Have skewers ready (5 minutes).
  3. Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring frequently until smooth (about 10 minutes).
  4. Dip each strawberry by holding it by the stem or using a skewer, swirl to coat evenly with chocolate, let excess drip off, and place on parchment paper. Repeat for all strawberries (15 minutes).
  5. Optional: Melt white chocolate and drizzle over the dark chocolate-coated strawberries using a spoon or piping bag (5 minutes).
  6. Optional: While chocolate is still wet, sprinkle crushed nuts, coconut, or edible glitter for decoration (5 minutes).
  7. Once chocolate is slightly set but still tacky, carefully insert a skewer into the base of each strawberry without pushing through the berry. Arrange skewered strawberries in the floral foam inside the container to form a bouquet (10 minutes).
  8. Tie a ribbon around the vase or wrap the bouquet in cellophane for gifting. Store the bouquet in the refrigerator until ready to present (5 minutes).

Notes

Keep strawberries and tools completely dry to prevent chocolate from seizing. Melt chocolate slowly over low heat or in short microwave bursts. Let excess chocolate drip off strawberries to avoid thick coatings. Reheat chocolate gently if it thickens. Arrange dipped strawberries with care to avoid breaking berries or cracking chocolate. Store bouquet loosely covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Remove from fridge 15 minutes before serving for best texture.
