A fast and flavorful recipe featuring tender sirloin steak cubes seared in garlic butter, perfect for savory weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Remove the steak from the fridge about 20 minutes before cooking to let it come to room temperature. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the steak cubes generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Heat until shimmering but not smoking, about 2 minutes.
  4. Add the steak cubes in a single layer without overcrowding. Cook untouched for about 2 minutes to develop a golden crust, then turn and cook another 2 minutes for medium-rare. Remove steak bites to a plate.
  5. Lower heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  6. Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter sauce for 1-2 minutes. Stir in chopped parsley and lemon juice. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure proper searing. Add garlic after searing to prevent burning. Cook steak bites in batches if necessary. For dairy-free version, substitute butter with olive oil or vegan butter. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheat gently in a skillet.
